WORSHIP MINISTRY
“It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth forever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD; So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.” 2 Chronicles 5:13–14
The Worship Ministry, led by Chris Benjamin, is a team of adults and students brought together by a common purpose: to lift up the name of Jesus Christ, to lead God’s people in authentic worship, and to communicate salvation to the lost and encouragement to believers. Our vision is to inspire, encourage, train, and direct those whom God has called into the music ministry with a spirit of service, excellence, sensitivity, purity, humility and strength.
TEAM REQUIREMENTS
As an artistic ministry, we believe in the pursuit of excellence for the glory of God. As the psalmist so eloquently stated, “I will not offer to the Lord that which cost me nothing,” so we strive to offer the Lord an authentic and excellent sacrifice.
- Must have a personal, born again relationship with Jesus Christ
- Must presently attend River of Life
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Must complete a successful audition
- Must attend weekly rehearsals
- Must be able to commit to at least 6 months of ministry with the worship team
- Must be committed to worshipping the Lord
